Aborted "Goremageddon"

It’s impressive how one can be severely influenced by the grinding forces that corrupted the world several years ago (CARCASS it was and CARCASS it shall be) and still come up with quite a refreshing outburst of violent music. All right, ABORTED may not be the most original outfit out there, but it surely adds quality to its intense technical discipline regarding what one yearns for Metal to become.
Formed in ‘95, the Belgian act has tied the knot with all that is sick and disgusting in the sewers of this garden of putrefaction called Earth, bringing into the golden light of perversion several releases until, in the year 2002, they twisted the biblical end of all we know into a more gorish landscape: Goremageddon.
It isn’t hard to figure out how destructive this CD is, with all the usual Medicine-related themes, particularly the discovery of the innards. Nevertheless, lyrics aside, it’s the music that makes it all painful with the distorted vocals disturbing the sonic waste with growls and screams courted by the dissonant guitars that rip every fucking sense of reality as one tries to bang at the sound of powerful rhythms. The drums and bass, of course, reducing every pain to a senseless habit formed by an existential greed as one tries to escape the vile stupor our body has come up to. It isn’t easy when one listens to such a fucking blast beats and ripping guitars… Well, easy or not, I fucking like listening to these grinders, despite the fact that by trying to hear the CD ion my PC made it crash it three times. Damn fucking machines!!!
This CD was released by Listenable Records and the box version contains a CARCASS cover (it isn’t hard to wonder why hehe), the magnificent Carnal Forge. Nevertheless, the American release features a different bonus song, through Century Media’s sub-label Olympic Records: the devastating and impressive, though not quite that original video for Meticulous Invagination (which can be seen on the band’s website ). After all, how many of you Gore Grinders out there have seen an autopsy?
Praise them or not, ABORTED have proved with this third CD that they have a lot more to offer and that they can surely become one of the leaders of the Grind movement throughout this XXI century. Well done, you freaks!!!
