NewBreed “ Solitary “

Growing up is a natural part of life... A difficul one where many choices have to be made leading us sometimes to great moments although one may encounter many problems... It seems that we’re always the ones that make all mistakes and only the older generations know what it is best... Yet, from time to time, someone has to show that experience isn’t everything...
Cutting out the crap, let me tell you that NewBreed are a very young band hailing us from Poland with their first release, titled “ Solitary “, presenting to us 5 songs ( being the later one a bonus ) where they wander through that old Death/Thrash feeling!
For the band ( and also for you ), this may not be a “ marvelous record of the year “ ( as stated by the humble guitarrist/vocalist Tomasz’s on a letter that acompanied the demo ) but it shows that they try to create something that really comes from their soul instead of following the same boring trends although their ideas are sometimes dispersed due to their age and to the fact of not being, at the time of the recording, quite mature ( tight ) as a whole within the band. The psychotic and raging rhythms ( denoting some jazzistic passages now and then ), that one can hear on this demo, are sometimes cut off by some clean guitar melodies. On the more stormy riffs, Tomasz growls his way into ruined landscapes of eerie shadows which forms a rather shadowy context to this band’s proposition.
Don’t expect them to be highly technical, profoundly original or extremely powerful in “ Solitary “ yet consider this to be only a “ mouth full of taste “ for more things to come!!! They have some really good ideas and the skills will come with time ( and maybe a second guitarrist to make them sound even more aggressive and dynamic ) as they wish to venture into a more progressive sound. Only wish that, by that time, they could record on a good studio capable to give them a decent sound as one really knows what ( difficult as it is to “survive” through the underground without a label backing us up ) a really plus point that is! Let your soul always wander free, guys!!!
