Vader “ Reign Forever World “

While many have granted Vader as the best European Death metal band, others have said that what makes them a great band are Doc’s drumming abilities and that their riffs aren’t that impressive. I disagree with this, because, through the years, they’ve showed that they’re more than just another Death band and those who say the opposite must be really deaf concerning quality or just your average Black metal listenner!
This is Vader’s current Cd release and as it can be a bit disapointing when one notices that it hardly passes half an hour, all it’s ten tracks shows us that they have all the aggressiveness and raging fury on studio as on a live situation.
Only three of the tracks are new ones! Here we face again, low rispid voices as guitars burst with powerful and disturbing riffs violently crunching us and technical solos gathers nothing more than highlights and praises, at least from me. A demonic Doc once more tries to destroy his drums with his exquisite, sadistic and undisputed rhythms ( just listen to “ Previlege of the Gods “ and hail ). From all of this, one most surely notice that their song’s quality can’t be questioned!!!
Believing that I wouldn’t hear them covering other bands for a long time, I was trully amazed when hearing the three that they’ve put on this Cd: Destruction, Judas Priest and Mayhem ( unusual last song for sure, being a Black metal one, but what can one say from a band that dared to cover Depeche Mode without giving a damn about what others thought?). On all of them, one can denote Vader’s own sound which just gives it a rare dimension as, usually, when a band covers another one, it’s more a “copy and paste” ( if you know what I mean, you should know that it’s the most dullest way ) of the song rather than a transformation of the same. But not Vader, as they give us more than that!!!
Two tracks are live ones ( from the Thrash’em All Festival, Olsztyn, August 2000 ) beeing “ Creatures of Light and Darkness “, firstly released on “ Kingdom” and “ Carnal “ from “ Black to the Blind “! On these two, one could hear that they give us what one could expect from them! A massive brutal attack that swirls around itself and tries to dominate ( and achieves it ) the audience into assuming the moment as furiously unique!
Last, but not least, there’s two songs previously released on the Japonese edition of “Litany”: the instrumental “Red Dunes” and the brutally chaotic “Lord of Desert” which show us how much respect this band has for it’s worldwide fans providing them a way to know the songs that were only released on Japan.
I really hope that they give us more powerful Cds through the years for they sure are one of the bands that live on my soul due, not only for their songs but for their humbledeness, respect and true underground spirit ( which lacks on many of the today’s so called fans of the Metal genre)! Forever Vader!!! Forever Metal!!
