My Dying Bride “ The light at the end of the world “

When I heard for the very first time this Cd, I felt like a dream that I thought was impossible, had come true... My Dying Bride going to their roots ( the dirty side of matter ) after their last cd, an electronic dark piece of art with only clean voices? Honnestly, it wasn’t my cup of tea but this is one realy is...
Starting with “ She is the dark “, we’re taken by a dark romantic story, imprisioned by the suffering of souls, the bitter movements of an ancestral theme of lustful passion and shadowy nightmares... It’s heaven and hell in one...
For me, “ Edenbeast “ is surely one of their best songs on this Cd, giving us a powerful strike to our souls, convincing us that sorrow is spelled in weepings and desires in burning passion...
Wandering through the different stages of the bitter drama that fills this band’s Cd, we’re faced with beautiful melodies that captivates our soul and face us with our own tears... Nevertheless, the agressiveness isn’t lost... Here, we find MDB at their best, raging powerfully with demonic veins since their classic “ Turn loose the swans “, letting us know what Metal really means for them... Of course, everyone is free to experiment all they want to experiment, but I’m sure a great deal of their fans ( me, for instance, hehe ) are glad to know that they haven’t lost that dark sepulchral fire that haunted the underground since their first came to be known in the scene...
One final note... Some of you will surely note that the title track is a bit too long or monotonous if we take attention soly to the music, but MDB isn’t like that... To fully understand what they are trully all about, one has also to know their lyrics... Isn’t vocals an instrument? Embrace the story, embrace the gosts, embrace the tears... let all of you rage out... The Gods are BACK!!!!!
