Behind the Scenery “ ... of honestly forbidden “

Germany certanly isn’t well known for it’s melodic Death – metal scene as the scandinavian countries are, but it certanly doesn’t mean that the ones they have can’t show us what quality is without souding too much unoriginal ( although from time to time one can hear some too much inspired In Flames parts )!
Behind the Scenery waves triumphantly their second Cd, filled with relentlessly technical strikes involving it’s listenners in ambitious, almost mystical, classical movements that carries us into a wild dimension of madness and chaos where beauty seldom appears and when she appears, it’s only to mislead us into trusting the great vast unknown as poeticaly sane!
Something that Behind the Scenery does so very well are those oh! so sweet enriching melodies portrayed by the classical guitar which entertains our inocent soul in one moment, violently withering our restful ears with such strenght consuming rhythms in the other as the hateful screams of vocalist Holger drifts around us with powerful grandeur.
All songs oppressed unto this tiny round plastic object certanly are capable to mesmerize a thirsthing audience during their live presentation as they show such tightness and quality that the other way around doesn’t pass through our mind. One other thing that should make you avid to see them live is that, as Iron Maiden at this moment, they have 3 guitarrists, being two of them lead ones!
All eight songs are guarded from the outside world by two instrumentals rightly described as Prologue and Epilogue. In those two classical instrumentals we’re faced with an artistic piece of art portrayed in the piano by Johannes Biedert.
Well, by now, you should know what to do... if you are really keen in having a really great band on you cd’s collection!!!
